This is the general area.             Mostly you would either come north on I-85 from Durham (take exit 191) or east from Roxboro on U.S. 158 (right on Culbreth in Berea) or north on NC 50 from Raleigh.

A little closer look.             If you are coming from Durham or Creedmore, you want make for Stem.

Coming off exit 191 (from I-85), take a left to cross the hwy, then right on West Lion Station. After 3 miles, this road Tees; take a left toward Stem.

This map might help you with Stem -- mainly by showing which road NOT to take (Little Mtn Rd). You'll be tempted! Keep going on Old NC 75 to Culbreth Rd. But don't look for Culbreth itself -- no such place.

Getting close now.

If you came from Roxboro, look for Berea, a big church will be on your left. Take a right at the next little mini-store; that's Culbreth Rd.

From anywhere, look for Enon road. The turn-off is so close to the Tar River that it's sometimes under water. Go exactly one mile on Lucy Averette, then take a right on Tar Hill. WarmOak is the first drive on your left.
